Zwift Watopia 2026: 20 New Routes, Jarvis Island & Racing

Zwift news · October 23, 2026 · Routes & racing

On October 26, 2026, Zwift plans to launch a Watopia expansion linking the Mayan Jungle with Jarvis Island. The change is more than a scenery update: new circuits and the last two stages of Tour of Watopia 2026 bring additional racing possibilities.

What changes in the Watopia expansion?

Zwift says the California-inspired archipelago will link previously separate parts of Watopia and provide a flatter way around the Epic KOM. The announcement also describes two new criterium-style circuits designed for racing, plus several new routes to explore and earn badges on. The stated launch date is October 26.

For racers, the opportunities are tactical: a fast crit may reward positioning and repeated accelerations; more rolling terrain can create gaps between groups. However, the precise demands depend on each event’s route, field size, category rules and race dynamics. A route that appears in free ride is not necessarily the one used by a particular race.

Tour of Watopia 2026: the upcoming race stages

Tour of Watopia returns with five stages. Stage 3 uses Coastal Crown Loop; the new Watopia routes arrive alongside Stage 4. Check the actual Zwift event listing for accurate start times, entry categories and rules.

Stage 4 · October 26–November 1

California Dreamin’: approximately 19.1 km and 153 m of climbing in Zwift’s published individual race schedule. The relatively flat profile may encourage a fast bunch race, although a bunch sprint is not guaranteed.

Racing idea: prepare for repeated surges, protect your position and watch for late attacks.

Stage 5 · November 2–8

Molten Momentum: approximately 20.8 km with 245 m of climbing in the published race schedule. The added elevation may place greater demands on the ability to sustain and repeat hard efforts.

Racing idea: study the route profile and pace your effort before the decisive sections.

How to enter a race, follow live coverage and find results

  1. Check Zwift’s official event calendar for start times, categories and registration.
  2. Open Horizon on eCyclingRank to explore upcoming events and available predictions.
  3. Find relevant races in Races & Live when the necessary live data is available.
  4. After the finish, review available results and compare riders using the eCyclingRank rankings.

Horizon predictions and Live commentary are independent features derived from the information available to eCyclingRank. They do not replace an official Zwift or organizer result, and publication may lag behind the finish.

Which riders could benefit from the new circuits?

Flatter courses can make positioning, sprint timing and repeated acceleration more important, while short climbs may offer attacks an opportunity to create a gap. Before entering a race, study the route profile, then compare the recent performance of riders and teams on eCyclingRank. This is a course analysis, not a prediction of race winners.
